This Thursday PhIMA is hosting a panel called “The ingredients to a successful agency/client relationship.” It features the super duo of Janssen Product Director, Metabolics Donna Hodge and CMI VP Media Director Beth Barron. Add this to the list of “NPs/PAs are prescribers too!” – a new study shows that many Medicare patients visiting their doctors for skin problems are seen by their office’s NP or PA instead.

Oh boy, this gossip is a doozy. Gawker reports that Time Inc. has fired some Sports Illustrated reporters because they’re not performing well enough on the business side – in other words, not benefitting the advertiser relationship. Take it with a grain of salt, but it’s true that some publishers have been hit hard and have had to look at blurring the lines between advertising and editorial with tactics that include native advertising.

Rock Health has announced not only 8 new startups but also 3 major corporate partnerships – with Abbott, Blue Cross Blue Shield of California and Deloitte. The startups, which range from HIPAA compliance support to mobile Rx, are profiled here.

CNN reports “Community Health Systems, which operates 206 hospitals across the United States, announced on Monday that hackers recently broke into its computers and stole data on 4.5 million patients.”
